From a long line of heritage since the early 70s to today, "Orix" Gems and Jewellers has not failed to satisfy our customers from around the world with our vast and colorful collection of gems and jewelry. Our gems reach a variety of precious and semi-precious stones from quartz to sapphires, each with diverse shades of color and size as desired. Among other mines in Sri Lanka, the depths of Palmadulla, Kuruvita and Ratnapura, have given birth to the majority of the gems we possess today. We also trade in casting and hand crafted jewelry by expert craftsmen resulting in the hallmark of quality that has travelled down decades, exclusive for products and services offered by our company only.

Our Founder

Our CEO and Founder of Orix Gems and Jewellers, Nimal Ranaweera, a father of two and a mentor to many, has a great taste in the trade of gems and jewelry and has been a loyal businessman exceeding 35 years.

His eye for fashion and talent, being a qualified gem cutter and colour grading expert, has not only increased with time but has acquired a great sense of practicability.

His vision of 35 years ago to create a company which produces irresistible products and exceptionally good service has resulted in this passionate earning and a dedicated success was born.
